A submission to the #YourMoveJam. It's a single-page fantasy adventure RPG with one PbtA move (well, kinda, depends on your definition of a move).

As the main player you are a questing hero⁞ine in the tradition of fairy tales and grand fantasy literature. You will need to recruit one or more friends (although three or more will probably get unwieldy) to provide you with obstacles and quandaries on your way. Your single move is used to determine how well you deal with those situations.

If I had more time I would probably have added some more guidance for the volunteer players and try to give the move a bit more emotional depth, so maybe I'll be adding that in the future after the jam is over, but no promises.

If you play please let me know how it goes!

January 2026 update: I've added a new "Postcard edition" of the game to download, in colour and in B&W for easier printing. It's a more compact version of the game that you can play anywhere, with a reworked ruleset. It calls for coins, but of course you can swap them out for regular dice and look for odds/evens instead of heads/tails.

Really liked it. I find it full of poetry & melancholy, with the layout and some of the words used. Full review here

Hi! I'm tinkering with a hack of this game and I'd love to get your blessing before releasing anything. I couldn't find any contact information, though. I'm at collectfruit at gmail if you want to reach out!

Thanks for this game! It's an amazing classroom game and I run it for my students regularly.

Anna, it would be an honour for you to make a hack of one of my games! Of course you have my blessing.

Hi again! The game is published and I would love to give you a copy. Is there a good way to contact you privately? Alternately, drop a line to the email in my previous comment and I'll reply with a download link.
