RideXDown
A downloadable game
to ride down: (verb) trample, overtake, to tread under one's horse's feet
ride-down effect: period of deceleration between the collision and stop during a car crash
A one-sheet surreal horror game where you play a skeleton driving around a liminal purgatory. Inspired by gothic Americana, William S. Burroughs, The Duel (1971), Drive (2011), Grim Fandango (1998), shows like Supernatural ('05-'20), Knight Rider ('82-'86) and Renegade ('92-'97). Maybe Ghost Rider, I don't know I've never read/watched it.
(Also the skeleton song from I Think You Should Leave, you know the one.)
Content warning for (entirely superficial) mentions or allusions to horror themes such as: violence, cannibalism, ritual sacrifice, mental illness, death etc. showing up as one word entries in random tables. Use responsibly.
It's not explicit in the text because of space constraints, but the game is GM-agnostic. You can play it solo as a kind of journaling game (you might need an additional oracle of some kind), you can play it two player with a GM and a driver or you can play it GM-full with the whole group dividing responsibilities around the table. The game does not provide you with a character motivation. Requires one or more d10s.
